It’s a fact: women make up 47% of the U.S. labor force, nearly 16% of the Fortune 500 corporate officers and 48% of all stock market investors. Yet, women make up less than 14% of directors on Fortune 1000 boards.

Minorities comprise nearly 29% of the U.S. population, but fill less than 7% of all board seats.

The Directors’ Council helps companies around the globe bring increased independence and effectiveness to the governance process. The Council partners work collaboratively to find, develop and place a new, diverse generation of directors on corporate boards, drawn primarily from the largely untapped pool of talented and qualified women and minorities. The Directors’ Council aims to fuel innovation and progress, and ensure that tomorrow’s boards more accurately reflect the face of the customers, employees and stockholders they serve.
